Noise level is 95dba and will be enforced. Mylaps will be used. Vehicles without a working mylaps will not be permitted to race. All drivers must wear working race receivers. You will be required to register to race through Race Control, if you haven’t used this before you will need to set up a profile. https://racecontrol.nz/login.php Duplicate numbers permitted. Riverside Speedway reserves the right to alter the format to a SNZ approved format after the closing date after consultation with officials if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any changes. In the event that you have already forwarded an entry and discover you can’t make it, please let us know as soon as possible. In the event of a rainout, the promoter reserves the right to hold this event on the next most opportune day and time which is the 15th December 2024 1pm. No telephone entries will be accepted. ENTRIES CLOSE: 13th November 2024 – late entries will incur a late fee of $50.00. Pit Area All crew & supporters must sign in and obtain an armband from the clubrooms. All children under the age of 12 must wear a hi vis vest and be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pit Gates Open 13th December 11am. 14th December 9am. Scrutineering At Riverside Speedway: 13th December from 12pm – 3pm. After your vehicle has been scrutineered it will be parked on the infield and taken into grade parade from there. 14th December from 10am – 1pm. Drivers Briefing Drivers Briefing will be held in the clubrooms as follows: 13th December at 3:15pm. 14th December at 1:15pm. Attendance at the drivers briefing is mandatory. Any driver not attending will be subject to exclusion to the event. Drivers only please. Grand Parade 13th December at 3.30pm. 14th December at 1.30pm. Racing Starts 13th December at 4pm. 14th December at 2pm. Format M4-32 This may change depending on the number of entries. This could also change to a 1 day event on the 14th December only if no qualifying is required. You will be advised of any changes. 13th December 2024 Qualifying Drivers will be split into 3 groups dependent on the number of entries. Each group will have 3 heats races of 12 laps each. Points are awarded as per finishing position from a maximum of 30 points for first to 1 point for 30th. The top 9 points scorers over the 3 heats will qualify for the finals. In the event of a tie on points for 9th position there will be a 4-lap run off. 14th December 2024 Finals The next 30 (maximum) non qualifiers will race 1 repechage to find the final 3 competitors for the final over 12 laps. In the event of a tie for grid positions the person with the fastest lap will win the higher position. The top 3 across the finish line in this race will go into the finals. Finals to consist of a maximum of 30 competitors, racing over three heats. Each final heat race will be 15 laps. No competitor can be seeded directly into the finals. Points are awarded as per finishing position from 30 points for first to 1 point for 30th. Highest point scorer over three heats is the winner. In the case of a tie on points for first, second or third place overall, there will be a 4-lap run off. 2nd tier races may be held depending on number of competitors remaining after the repechage. This will be a maximum of 3 races of 12 laps. Award Ceremony Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd at a prize giving on the infield after the final race. Code Of Conduct Date Name Signature Aotea Riverside Speedway encourages good sportsmanship at all levels of the competition. Below is our guide to codes of conduct for all club members, officials, volunteers and associates. Treat all participants, officials and volunteers as you would like to be treated yourself. Verbal abuse, threats and physical violence are not acceptable behaviours. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants, regardless of their ability, gender or cultural background. The consumption of drugs or any other illegal substances are not permitted on our premises. The consumption of alcohol is not permitted before, during and after a race meeting in the non-alcohol areas of our premises. (Pit area & Arena from Middle of back straight until clubrooms) Clubrooms is only permitted after a race meeting by purchasing from the bar. Theft, vandalism and wilful damage to club property and property of others within our premises is not acceptable. Bringing our club into disrepute in any form (media, social media, public display etc.) is not acceptable. Drivers: Always comply with SNZ rules. Avoid arguing with officials. Treat all competitors as you would like to be treated – do not interfere with, bully or take advantage of any other participant. This includes using txt, email or social media to bully or slander competitors. The use of coarse or derogatory language is not acceptable behaviour. All drivers are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of all pit crew, family members and associates while in the pit area and clubrooms, before, during and after a race meeting. Officials: Be impartial, consistent and objective at all times. Place the safety and welfare of all participants above all else. Ensure the spirit of the competition is maintained. Be understanding and co-operative in the interpretation and application of rules and penalties. Condemn unsporting behaviour and promote respect for all competitors. Parents: Encourage children to participate to the best of their ability. Teach children that an honest effort is as important as victory. Encourage your children to follow SNZ rules and respect the work and decisions of all officials. Set a good example by not using derogatory or abusive language. Volunteers: Carry out duties and responsibilities in a safe, efficient and competent way. Neither use, nor allow the use of club property, resources, information or funds other than for authorised purposes. Maintain the confidentiality of any information obtained. Social Media We encourage participation in online social media in a positive manner. The accessible nature of the internet however, can lend itself to the posting of threatening and derogatory material in the heat of the moment. Once your thoughts and comments are published they are visible to the world. We take all cases of cyber bullying seriously and will treat online matters as if it would be “real world” bullying. Breaching our code of conduct can lead to serious consequences including imposing immediate penalties, suspensions and expulsions. The committee will investigate all breaches and determine action required and if need be will take the breaches to the members of the club to make a decision.
